Triangle Energy (Global) Limited went into voluntary administration on 20 July, with its subsidiary Triangle (Perth Basin) entering the same day. Four more companies it discloses as wholly owned subsidiaries followed on 21 July. Both notices reached ASIC's register on 22 July, one and two days behind the events.
Here is the part that matters if you carry any of the six on a ledger. Four of them have traded under other names, and those names are what your system is likely to hold.
Triangle Energy (Global) Limited, ASX code TEG, was formerly Maverick Drilling International, Maverick Energy and White Sands Petroleum. Triangle Energy L7 was formerly Triangle Energy (Ventures). Key Petroleum (Australia) was formerly Key Petroleum (Tanzania). Key Midwest was formerly Rey Oil and Gas Perth. The other two, Triangle (Perth Basin) and Triangle Energy (EP437), enter under the names they were registered with.
The parent has answered to four legal names since its 2004 registration. The register kept them all. A ledger usually keeps the one the account opened under.
If an internal account remains under Rey Oil and Gas Perth, a search confined to the current legal name may miss that it is now Key Midwest Pty Ltd, ACN 169 337 973, and in administration.
Bryan Hughes was appointed to all six. Triangle Energy's FY2025 subsidiary disclosure identifies the other five as wholly owned subsidiaries. ASIC's notices themselves record only that the six were named across two filings and share an administrator. The subsidiary relationship rests on the company's own ASX disclosure, not on the register.
The filings also put the group straight onto the day's calendar. Proofs of debt for Triangle Energy (Global), Triangle (Perth Basin), Triangle Energy (EP437), Key Petroleum (Australia) and Key Midwest were due by 28 July, a date that had passed by publication and is recorded below as history rather than as a live deadline.

The monitoring job: Bob Wade reached its fifth notice in 51 days. BOB WADE PTY LTD, ACN 615 990 513, first appeared as a winding-up application published on 1 June. A voluntary administration was published on 25 June, meetings on 29 June and 17 July, and on 22 July the register published a winding-up order with a liquidator appointment. A system storing only the latest status now holds a liquidation and nothing else; the earlier application and administration are the chronology a credit or legal file needs. The attribution job: six companies shared one meeting notice. One name did not. A creditors' meeting filing for Image Nominees Pty Ltd (In Liquidation), ACN 105 991 633, names six companies, with Claudio Trimboli and Nedin Talic appointed across all of them. The recorded alternate name attaches to Image Nominees alone; the other five companies carry none. Load the filing flat and five entities inherit an identity the notice never gave them.
