TrueEV says it spent more than $60 million bringing XPENG to Australia. The court record shows six shipments, receivers over 197 cars and a case dismissed before trial. On 4 November, XPENG asks the NSW Supreme Court to wind up three TrueEV companies, one of which still holds the name "Xpeng Australia".

The Perth building-panel maker moved into an 11,000-square-metre factory in 2025 and showed it to the state's Housing Minister. The company now in administration took the OFFSITE names in 2024. The company that held them for five years before that is not in any process.
Shell sold the global battery business in August. The Australian company entered administration on 20 October, and the German company filed for insolvency two days later. For battery owners, the question is who will keep providing the software, repairs and support.
