Nathan Schwarz of Clifton Hall has appeared in Adelaide insolvency notices on 102 days since January 2025, usually one company at a time. On 3 September he took eleven.

Seven of them appointed Schwarz and Anna Agostino voluntary administrators on a single notice: JTG Global Pty Ltd, ACN 644 209 772; JTG United Pty Ltd, 651 325 370; GTA United Pty Ltd, 653 462 072; GTKA Pty Ltd, 649 627 476; GTKA TTP Pty Ltd, 651 939 589; Brigadier Trading Pty Ltd, 633 226 427; and Kolob Consulting Pty. Ltd., 087 801 143. The companies appointed the administrators themselves. Creditors meet at 11am on 15 September, with proofs and proxies due the day before.

Four others resolved to wind up on the same date, on four separate notices, each appointing Schwarz liquidator: GMR Brothers Pty Ltd, 635 591 356; M.C.G.D Trading Pty Ltd, 625 312 996; M.C.J.A Trading Pty Ltd, 612 466 734; and MCRA Services Pty Ltd, 642 426 784.

Are these restaurants closed? The notices do not say so. Administration and liquidation are processes against companies, and neither notice addresses trading, bookings, gift cards or staff. Da Vinci Ristorante's own site was taking bookings on 5 September.

The split is the part a creditor needs. Administrators now control the seven, and creditors will choose between a deed of company arrangement, ending the administration and winding the companies up. For the other four that choice has already been made. Clifton Hall's own current-matters register lists all eleven at 3 September, in the same two groups.

None of the notices carries a restaurant name. The business names register does, and it puts Da Vinci Ristorante behind Brigadier Trading, Caffe Paparazzi SA behind GTA United, Sorrelli Cafe behind JTG United, Pellegrini Cafe & Pizzeria behind GMR Brothers, and Hanson Pizza Restaurant behind M.C.G.D Trading. Four of the eleven carry no registered business name, so no venue can be attributed to them.

One date in that register is worth its own line. MCRA Services held Portofino Ristorante Cafe from June 2022 until 30 July 2026, five weeks before it resolved to wind up.

Chahoud Group's website lists Da Vinci Ristorante, Pellegrini Cafe, Cafe Paparazzi, Sorelli Cafe and Hanson Pizza Bar among about fifteen venues, from North Adelaide to Malvern, Ingle Farm and Woodville North. One name matches a registered business name exactly; four are close but not identical, so the registers alone do not establish that a venue and a registered name are one operation.

On 22 March 2007 the South Australian Government Gazette published a notice under the Liquor Licensing Act. Kolob Consulting Pty Ltd as trustee for the Chahoud Family Trust, together with a second company as trustee for a different family trust, had applied to transfer the restaurant licence at 179 O'Connell Street, North Adelaide, then known as Cafe' Vicino, "to be known as Pellegrini Cafe & Pizzeria". The application was set down for hearing on 24 April 2007. Whether it was granted is not recorded in that notice.

Kolob Consulting is one of the seven companies now in administration. Its ABN has been cancelled since 2013 and it has carried no registered business name since December 2014.

The Chahoud Family Trust, ABN 12 340 036 043, held PELLEGRINI CAFE & PIZZERIA as a registered business name from March 2015 until 22 March 2020. GMR Brothers registered the same name on 26 February 2020, and GMR Brothers resolved to wind up on 3 September. Chahoud Group's site listed Pellegrini Cafe at 179 O'Connell Street on 5 September.

One restaurant identity, three holders, nineteen years. The records give dates and names, not the terms on which any business, licence or asset moved between them.

It happens again with Hanson. Kolob Consulting held HANSON PIZZA RESTAURANT until 2013, and the trust's record carries a Hanson trading name from 2004. M.C.G.D Trading has held that registered name since July 2018 and is one of the four in liquidation.

The connection is not only in venue names.

On 5 April 2022 the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner's delegate granted the transfer of the licence for Caffe Paparazzi, Shop 11, 291 Unley Road, Malvern, to GTA United Pty Ltd. The order records that landlord's consent had been obtained, names a different company as the previous licensee, and lists four people approved to occupy a position of authority in the licence holder, among them Gaby Gerges Chahoud. GTA United is now in administration.

On 18 November 2022 the same office granted the transfer of the licence for Cafe Maranello, 4 John Street, Salisbury, to M.C.J.A Trading Pty Ltd, recording that the delegate was satisfied Milad Chahoud, "who occupies a position of authority in the applicant entity, is a fit and proper person to occupy such a position". M.C.J.A Trading is now in liquidation.

A position of authority is a licensing approval. It is not a directorship or a shareholding.

A company named Chahoud Group Pty Ltd, ACN 670 963 729, was registered in August 2023. It has no ABN and no insolvency notice. Neither does the Chahoud Family Trust. Nothing on any register establishes common ownership or control across the eleven companies, and the presence of a venue on the group's website does not put it inside these appointments: several listed venues are held by companies with no insolvency notice.

The notices give no reason for any of the appointments, and do not record where the leases or property sit.

A supplier monitoring the restaurant name would not have been monitoring the company on the notice. A creditor monitoring one of these companies would not have seen the other ten.

Amity Early Learning Pty Ltd, ACN 619 888 532, resolved to wind up on 3 September, with Mathieu Tribut of Mackay Goodwin appointed liquidator. The company was registered in 2017 and holds no business name.

The national childcare register records it as an approved provider since August 2017, with at least five Western Australian services, all trading as Kids Academy: early learning centres at Forrestfield and Rivervale, and outside-school-hours care at three named primary schools. The schools are the locations of those services and are not parties to the liquidation. The notice says nothing about whether any service continues.

T D North Group Pty Ltd, ACN 622 199 964, T D South Group Pty Ltd, 622 200 079, and Wareman Group Pty Ltd, 622 199 811, each entered voluntary administration on 2 September with Adam Shepard and Cameron Gray of HM Advisory. The three ACNs were issued within days of each other in 2017. Creditors meet on 14 September, and proofs fall due on 11 September for two of them and 13 September for the third. None carries a registered business name.

A.C.N. 112 971 874 Limited was called Pro-Pac Packaging Limited until 14 April 2026. Under a deed of company arrangement, proofs of debt are due by 18 September. The name on the notice is the old one; the register carries the number as the name.

That gap is the whole product. Get the register that separates them.

A winding-up application asks a court for an order; it does not mean the company has been wound up. A members' voluntary liquidation is ordinarily a solvent process. 62 deadlines fall out of this one day.
