You can still book workspace at CreativeCubes.Co in Carlton and Hawthorn.
The Carlton page invites visitors to tour its workspace inside Lygon Court Shopping Centre. The Hawthorn page offers coworking, private offices and tours at 10 Oxley Road.
On 7 October, the companies carrying those two location names are due in the Supreme Court of Victoria. They are CreativeCubes.Co Property-Carlton Pty Ltd, ACN 634 544 344, and CreativeCubes.Co Property-Hawthorn Pty Ltd, ACN 623 236 653.
Each faces an application to be wound up.
That does not mean CreativeCubes.Co is in liquidation. It means something narrower and, for anyone with money tied to the business, potentially more important: which CreativeCubes.Co company is actually named on your agreement?
Get the Daily Register
The filing is only the first layer. The Daily Register connects legal entities, operating names, ACNs, applicants, court dates and process changes, so an alert does not leave you searching for the company behind it.
Two companies. One morning.
Neither filing appoints a liquidator or an administrator, and ASIC's appointment records since July 2017 show no such appointment for any company carrying the CreativeCubes.Co or Cubes.Co name.
A winding-up application asks a court to make an order. It is not a finding that a company is insolvent, and it can be paid, settled, adjourned or dismissed.
But the two applications line up closely:
Both were filed on 28 August.
Both were published by ASIC on 30 September.
Both are listed for 10.30am on 7 October.
Both give the same law firm as the applicant's address for service.
Their court numbers, S ECI 2026 05930 and S ECI 2026 05932, are two apart.
The applicants are different companies.
Banco appears in both trails, in different ways
The Carlton application was brought by Lygon Court Pty Limited, ACN 006 020 640.
The name matches the place: the centre lists CreativeCubes.Co among its occupants.
A Fitzroys market wrap of September 2021, reporting that CreativeCubes.Co had leased nearly 2,000 square metres there, described "the Banco Group-owned Lygon Court". The centre's own history says Banco Group bought the buildings in the 1980s to incorporate them into the complex. Banco and the centre's management publish the same 333 Drummond Street address and telephone number.
Is the Carlton application connected to that property relationship? It has not been established that Lygon Court Pty Limited owns the centre, that it is CreativeCubes.Co's landlord, or that the application concerns rent.
Hawthorn's trail reaches the name another way. Its applicant is Fabsav Nominees Pty Limited, ACN 006 883 647, and ASIC's company register records an earlier name for that company: Banco Insurance & Investment Services Pty Ltd.
Again, that is an identity link, not an explanation: the former name does not establish who now owns Fabsav Nominees or whether it has any interest in the Hawthorn property.

Two site companies, two applicants, one filing day, one law firm, one hearing time, and a Banco name in each applicant's trail. Whether the two Banco references are the same group is not established. Neither is why the applications were made.
One brand on the website. Twenty companies carrying the name.
ASIC's register holds 20 companies carrying the CreativeCubes.Co or Cubes.Co name, one of them now deregistered. The two applications name only the Carlton and Hawthorn companies, and no ASIC insolvency notice has named any of the other 18 since January 2024.

CreativeCubes.Co's website lists 17 locations in one menu, including a Cremorne site it advertises as opening in November 2026. That is what a customer sees.
The paperwork can be more specific. When the Workspace365 (VIC) locations joined, CreativeCubes.Co's member FAQ told their members that "licence agreements are being assigned directly to the new entity". Carlton and Hawthorn were not Workspace365 sites: the same FAQ lists them among existing CreativeCubes.Co locations. The answer still shows why the legal name matters: the agreement sits with a particular entity, and that entity can change.
Why this matters if CreativeCubes.Co is in your ledger
Imagine your system simply says: CreativeCubes.Co.
A check keyed to CreativeCubes.Co Pty Ltd, ACN 617 353 063, the company carrying the plain brand name, would not flag either application, because neither names it.

That is the risk: you can know the brand and still miss the company that matters to you. Where its name sits:
A member: the licence agreement.
A supplier: the invoice.
A landlord: the lease.
A lender or credit team: the counterparty record.
The winding-up application only helps once you know which company your agreement names.
What we still do not know
The debt behind either application.
How the Hawthorn premises are held.
What happens when the matters are called at 10.30am on 7 October.
ASIC does not publish notices when winding-up applications are dismissed, so silence after the hearing will not by itself tell you the outcome.
CreativeCubes.Co is the name customers see. The court proceedings name two of the 20 companies carrying that name. For anyone with money tied to the business, the legal name on the contract, licence or invoice decides whether these filings concern their counterparty at all.
Know the brand in your ledger but not the company on the contract?
We're opening a small number of paid research slots for credit teams, lenders, advisers and investors dealing with exactly this problem.
Send us the trading name, company or ACN and the question you need answered. We'll trace the relevant legal entities and public records, show what the evidence establishes, and separate that from what remains unresolved.
The register in 60 seconds

ASIC published notices concerning 169 entities on the day, across 129 notices. 52 are newly published distress entries: a company entering an insolvent process, disclosed in this issue. The remaining 117 are:
17 winding-up applications, which ask a court for an order and are not findings of insolvency
78 procedural filings on cases already open: meetings, dividends, proof deadlines and disclaimers
14 companies already inside a process that moved stage, such as an administration converting to liquidation
8 members' voluntary liquidations, which are solvent and not failures at all
0 vacancies filled, where the process continues with a new practitioner
Treating every entity on the day's register as a new distress event would report 169 where the resolved register supports 52 newly published distress entries.
Newly published distress
The register carried 52 newly published distress entries. Those carrying a former or trading name are listed first. Dates are from the notice.

The entities below are the ones an exposure list of any shape would surface first: distress entries, then applications and stage changes. Solvent and procedural rows are counted but not shown.
