Pastro-Custom AG Pty Ltd, ACN 134 240 832, the Griffith company that trades as Pastro Ag, entered creditors' voluntary liquidation on 13 October. Its members resolved to wind it up, and Dane Skinner of Raft Consulting was appointed liquidator.

ASIC's notice records the company's trading names as Pastro AG and Robotic Auto AG.

Pastro Ag's own patents cover sprayers. As at 2 August 2026, IP Australia's registers listed six patents in force in its name, the latest granted on 28 May 2026, along with two registered designs and two PASTRO AG trade marks.

For growers who run Pastro sprayers, suppliers owed money and anyone interested in those designs, the legal company is Pastro-Custom AG Pty Ltd, and its property, including any rights still registered to it, is now under the liquidator's control.

Is Pastro Ag in liquidation? Yes. The company that trades as Pastro Ag, Pastro-Custom AG Pty Ltd, has been in creditors' voluntary liquidation since 13 October. In a creditors' voluntary liquidation, the liquidator must send creditors an initial notice within ten business days of appointment and a report on the company's affairs within three months.

The patents, designs and trade marks

IP Australia's registers record these rights in Pastro-Custom AG's own name:

  • Six patents in force: Three innovation patents certified in 2021 for an improved sprayer, a lineal air duct sprayer and a shielded sprayer; a lineal air duct sprayer patent granted in November 2023; and two more granted this year, for a shielded sprayer on 12 March 2026 and an improved sprayer on 28 May 2026.

  • One pending patent application, filed in 2022, for a chemical de-suckering machine.

  • Two registered designs: A lineal air duct sprayer (2021) and a motorcycle trailer (2022).

  • Two trade marks for PASTRO AG, registered in 2021.

Innovation patents are a shorter-term form of patent. The scheme closed to new filings in August 2021, and existing innovation patents run for up to eight years.

None of those rights carries a recorded assignment, licence or security interest in IP Australia's data as at 2 August 2026. That is a finding about the registers, not a guarantee that no contract or charge affects them.

The September auction

From 11am on 2 September to 6pm on 9 September, an online auction ran at 76 Wakaden Street, Griffith, with Elders Riverina and AuctionExchange as selling agents.

Its title was "Pastro Ag farming equipment, company vehicles, industrial workshop & agricultural parts sale". The published results recorded winning bids on 470 of 472 lots, totalling $474,140 before the 10% buyer's premium and GST.

The listing does not name the vendor or show how proceeds were applied, and the public record does not connect the auction to the liquidation. The catalogue did not list patents, designs or trade marks.

Selected recorded winning bids included:

Lot

Winning bid

5,000L Pastro Ag twin fan orchard fungicide sprayer

$64,250

2010 John Deere 6230 tractor

$27,700

4,000L Pastro Ag sprayer, listed as "(INCOMPLETE)"

$23,500

2021 Metalmaster 63-tonne hydraulic press brake

$14,850

Pastro Ag double fan

$10,000

Seventy-two lots carried the Pastro name, with winning bids totalling $142,960. Seventeen were sprayers, which fetched $90,970 between them; the single 5,000-litre twin fan sprayer accounted for $64,250 of that.

Many of the others were the parts of sprayers not yet built: 5,000-litre and 4,000-litre chassis with drawbars, multi-row dropper arms, leaf guards for air-blast sprayers, shelves of Pastro custom components, and mild steel components sold by weight in lots of 300 to 515 kilograms.

The rest of the sale was the working kit of a fabrication business: vehicles, a forklift, a scissor lift, workshop machinery and tools. Two lots did not sell: a 2020 Nissan Patrol, and a "2025 Pastro Custom offroad rooftop camper & motorbike trailer".

An unfinished sprayer, unfinished drawbars and a press brake are not the stock of a dealer clearing a yard. They are components commonly associated with manufacturing and fabrication.

The September auction recorded winning bids on 470 of 472 lots, totalling $474,140 before buyer's premium and GST; 72 Pastro-named lots recorded $142,960 in winning bids.

The listing does not name the vendor. These are winning bids, not verified receipts.

A Griffith business since 2008

Pastro-Custom AG has been registered since November 2008 and based in Griffith since at least 2012.

It traded as Pastro Ag Services from 2014 to 2017, and as Pastro Ag since May 2019.

In November 2025, eleven months before the liquidation, it registered a new business name: Robotic Auto Ag. The register does not record what that business was.

Who is affected

  • Growers and contractors who run Pastro-branded machines may wish to confirm future parts and service arrangements with the liquidator. The public record does not establish a specific customer interruption.

  • Suppliers and staff have claims against Pastro-Custom AG Pty Ltd, ABN 49 134 240 832, which are lodged with the liquidator, Dane Skinner of Raft Consulting.

  • Anyone interested in the patents, designs or trade marks should confirm their current ownership and any recorded dealings with the liquidator.

The sequence on the record

  • November 2008: Pastro-Custom AG Pty Ltd registered.

  • May 2019: Pastro Ag business name registered.

  • 13 October 2026: Members resolve to wind the company up; Dane Skinner appointed liquidator.

What remains unresolved

  • Who the vendor of the September lots was, and how the proceeds were applied.

  • What the patents, designs and trade marks are worth, and whether a buyer will take them.

  • What the Robotic Auto Ag business was.

  • Why the company entered liquidation.

Those answers sit with the liquidator, whose report to creditors is the next document to watch.
