On 7 October, the bottom of the Vets Love Pets website read: VLP Corporation Pty Ltd (Administrators appointed).
On 21 October it read: Vets Love Pets by Provet Pty Ltd (ABN 46 076 468 481). A Covetrus Company. The same day, the business names register listed Vets Love Pets under VLP Corporation, the company in liquidation.
Between those two dates, on 19 October, the creditors of VLP Corporation Pty Ltd (ACN 660 084 953), which traded as Vets Love Pets, and of VetScript Pty Ltd (ACN 660 074 313), the company behind the VetScript prescription software, resolved to wind both companies up. One notice, published on 20 October, covers both. ASIC notice
If you supplied VLP Corporation or VetScript and are owed money, your claim is against that company, by its ACN, and goes to its liquidators, David Kennedy and Martie Tziotis of Ernst & Young. No ASIC notice published up to 20 October set a deadline for those claims. Until one does, suppliers can check which company each invoice and order confirmation names, and any PPSR registration they hold against that company's ACN, and contact the liquidators to be recorded as its creditors.
So is Vets Love Pets in liquidation? The company that traded under that name is. The online pet store is still open under the same name, and its terms now say "Vets Love Pets" means Provet Pty Ltd.
Three companies, one store
VLP Corporation Pty Ltd, ACN 660 084 953, traded as Vets Love Pets. It is in liquidation from 19 October.
VetScript Pty Ltd, ACN 660 074 313, runs the VetScript prescription software. It is in liquidation from 19 October.
Provet Pty Ltd, ACN 076 468 481, is a Covetrus company. The store's terms now say "Vets Love Pets" means Provet. It is not on either notice.
VLP Corporation and VetScript were registered on the same day, 10 June 2022, and all five insolvency notices published about them since July name both. On 21 October both companies appeared on the Australian Business Register only as their company numbers, A.C.N. 660 084 953 Pty Ltd and A.C.N. 660 074 313 Pty Ltd.
On the same day, the Australian Business Register still showed the Vets Love Pets business name against VLP Corporation's ABN, from 14 May 2026, and a search of the name returned no other holder. Moving a business name to a new holder takes a separate filing. That filing can reach the register later than a store's website changes. The register does not show whether one has been lodged.
The store's own pages carry both names. Its terms say "Vets Love Pets" refers to Provet Pty Ltd trading as Vets Love Pets. The privacy page linked in its footer, updated in October 2026, names Provet the same way and Covetrus Inc as the ultimate parent. An older privacy policy, last updated in February 2024 and not linked from the footer, is still reachable at the store's standard policy address and opens with VLP Corporation Pty Ltd trading as Vets Love Pets.

Archived copies of the homepage show the footer read "VLP Corporation Pty Ltd" in April and "VLP Corporation Pty Ltd (Administrators appointed)" on 7 October. Provet is a veterinary products distributor whose own website signs off "A Covetrus Company".
A new name on a store can follow a sale of the business, a licence of the brand or another arrangement, and the public record does not say which. No ASIC notice records a sale, a buyer or a price, and as at 21 October we found no public statement from the liquidators or Provet explaining the change.
101 days from administration to liquidation
Every notice named both companies.
10 July: David Kennedy and Martie Tziotis of Ernst & Young are appointed administrators. A secured creditor, holding security over all or almost all of the companies' property, made the appointment. ASIC notice
14 July: the first meeting of creditors is called for 22 July. ASIC notice
6 August: the second meeting, where creditors decide a company's future, is called for 14 August. ASIC notice
12 October: the second meeting is called again, for 19 October, with a supplementary report from the administrators. ASIC notice
19 October: the creditors resolve to wind up both companies, and the administrators become the liquidators. The notice was published on 20 October. ASIC notice
At a second meeting, creditors can choose a deal called a deed of company arrangement, end the administration and hand the company back to its directors, or wind it up. Here they chose to wind up. Because creditors made that choice, not a court, it is a creditors' voluntary liquidation.

What it means if you deal with them
If you supplied either company: claims are lodged separately, against VLP Corporation (ACN 660 084 953) or VetScript (ACN 660 074 313), matching the company named on the invoice.
If your clinic uses VetScript: VetScript sends a vet's digital script to the pharmacy the clinic chooses, from any in its network, and the store's terms mention ordering "via e-script through VetScript". VetScript Pty Ltd, the company named on the VetScript website, is in liquidation, and neither the website nor the notice says whether the service has changed. Before paying the next VetScript invoice, a clinic can check which company issued it: VetScript Pty Ltd (ACN 660 074 313), in liquidation, or another company.
What the public record cannot yet say is why the store now names Provet: a sale, a licence or another arrangement, and from what date. Until it does, the name on your invoice or order confirmation shows which company you dealt with.
Watch the name on the invoice
Brands outlive the companies that trade under them. Each week, the Weekly Brief resolves the companies behind the brands in that week's filings.
We publish public-record information, not advice. The liquidators are the authoritative source on the two liquidations. Nothing here is a statement about the solvency of Provet Pty Ltd, Covetrus, the partner pharmacy or any company not named in the notices, or about any party's claim. For shoppers, the store's terms make an unnamed partner pharmacy the seller of prescription medicines, refunds included.
