Love Your World reported one and a half full-time staff for 2020. The same annual return reported A$7.1 million in donations, A$10.5 million of revenue, and A$17 million of assets against A$3.4 million of liabilities. It is the last return the charity filed.
Then the record goes quiet. Nothing is held for 2021, nothing for 2022. The next entry against ACN 158 841 180 is an administrator: Michael John Caspaney, appointed 14 March 2023, followed six weeks later by a creditors' voluntary liquidation.
Now the part an ASIC search will not tell you. On 24 November 2024, the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission revoked the charity's registration. Its register records the status in two words: "Revoked Compliance". It had been registered since December 2012 for the advancement of religion. The ACNC does not publish its reasons, and revokes registration for a range of failures, unmet reporting obligations among them.

ASIC's record kept moving too: a receiver and manager in December 2025, and on 30 July a Federal Court order winding the company up, naming Anthony Norman Connelly and Mark Alfred Holland of McGrathNicol.
Search that ACN in one place and you get one status line, unchanged since 2023. Five recorded stages across two regulators sit behind it. A creditor watching ASIC alone would not know the charity stopped being a charity in November 2024.
What no public register carries is the account of what happened. Liquidators report to ASIC on a company's affairs, and report suspected offences under section 533, but those reports are not published. The register is a record of stages and dates, not the whole story.

The register in 60 seconds

ASIC published 118 notices covering 135 entities. 2 notices named more than one company, expanding the source material to 146 company rows. 28 are newly published distress entries: a company entering an insolvent process, disclosed today. The remaining 107 are:
21 winding-up applications, which ask a court for an order and are not findings of insolvency
59 procedural filings on cases already open: meetings, dividends, proof deadlines and disclaimers
14 companies already inside a process that moved stage, such as an administration converting to liquidation
13 members' voluntary liquidations, which are solvent and not failures at all
0 vacancies filled, where the process continues with a new practitioner
A single count of the day's filings would report 135 entities where the register supports 28 newly published distress entries.

Twelve companies in the Zen Energy administration reach their decision meeting with verified scale on file. One notice published 31 July convenes the subsection 439A(1) meeting, where creditors decide the companies' future, for Zen Energy Pty Ltd and eleven other companies on the filing. It lists 3:30pm on 7 August, with proofs and proxies due by 5:00pm the day before. The ATO's tax-transparency files record A$229.8m in 2023-24 total income for Zen Energy Pty Ltd, A$150.7m in 2022-23 for Zen Energy Markets and A$122.4m in 2023-24 for Zen Energy Retail. Total income is not profit, cash or recoverable value, and the administration continues until the meeting resolves otherwise.
AGL Sales applied to wind up The Outback Pub. The application, published 31 July, was commenced on 10 July and is listed in the Supreme Court at 9:00am on 11 August. The applicant is AGL Sales Pty Limited, which the federal Payment Times register records under ASX-listed AGL Energy Limited as its controlling corporation. The respondent is a Queensland company whose register record also carries the business name Longhorn Pub. An application asks the court for an order: it is not a finding of insolvency, and nothing published states the basis of the claim.

Bottom line
One ACN carried the day's lesson: a file that looked like a winding up in May reads as a restructuring plan by the end of July, and only the connected sequence says so. Teams that route matters by the latest stored status have something to check. The register records what was published: it does not say the plan resolves the application, and a meeting notice or an income figure establishes scale and timing, not outcome.
