Tell us the company or trading name and what you need now. We’ll identify the legal company, the public insolvency process and any deadlines published on the notice. The public-record check is free. If you want, you can also give us permission to connect you with a suitable independent provider.
What we can establish from the public record:
The legal company behind the shopfront, and its ACN
Every former name and trading name we can tie to it
What insolvency process it is in, and the date it started
The administrator or liquidator appointed, and how to reach them
Every deadline published on the notice
If you paid by credit card, debit card or PayPal, your fastest route may be through the bank or payment provider, and it has a clock on it. You may be able to reverse the payment even though the business has failed. Banks call this a chargeback. The time limits are set by the card schemes and by your own bank, they vary, and some are short. The ACCC's advice is to contact your bank straight away rather than wait for the administration to resolve.
We publish The Open Register, the daily record of every Australian insolvency appointment, matched to the legal, former and trading names. We are not a law firm and not a debt collector. Nobody pays us to send you anywhere, and if that ever changes we will tell you before making an introduction. We will never ask you for a card, bank or account number.
That's the whole thing. You get one email back with the company file. Nothing else lands in your inbox unless you asked for the daily register above.
We’ll use these details to identify the relevant company and answer your request. You will not receive The Daily Register unless you selected “Yes.”We will not share your submission with another provider unless you selected “Yes” above. If a provider may pay The Open Register for an introduction, we will tell you before making it.
The Open Register publishes public-record information. We do not provide legal, financial, credit or tax advice.
