ASIC published five separate notices on 24 August. Each named a different company carrying the Mitsuki name. Read individually, they look like five separate insolvency events. Read together, they show five legal entities moving through two different processes under the same name.

The four companies registered between 2021 and 2023 entered creditors' voluntary liquidation: Mitsuki Pty Ltd, ACN 647 217 507, Mitsuki Ann St Pty Ltd, Mitsuki Creek St Pty Ltd and Mitsuki JLB Pty Ltd.

The company registered in 2024, Mitsuki Katsu Pty Ltd, entered restructuring under Part 5.3B. That is a process for a company that intends to keep trading while it puts a proposal to creditors.

All five appointments were made on 21 August, and all five name Nicholas Charlwood and Timothy Cook. Every one of the five notices carries a Brisbane address, across four postcodes: Brisbane City, Milton, South Brisbane and Sinnamon Park.

The notices create five records. Whether they describe five situations or fewer is the question a notice cannot answer. A register records what happened to an entity. It does not record what happened to the situation.

For a supplier, a lender or a customer monitoring the Mitsuki name, those five legal entities are not interchangeable. They are not the same company, and a search against one of them will not surface the others.

The four companies registered first are in liquidation. The company registered last, and only that one, is in a process built around continuing to trade.

The legal names give clues, but not a complete operating map. Two entities carry Brisbane street names, Mitsuki Ann St and Mitsuki Creek St. Mitsuki Katsu Pty Ltd, the one company in restructuring, carries the same name as a venue announced publicly in November 2025 as Mitsuki Katsu and Sushi Bar.

No published source states which company operated which venue.

A search for "Mitsuki" in the company records returns all five of these companies. A check run against a single customer record does not. Each has its own ACN, its own appointment notice and its own process, and two of the five carry no street name that would tie them to a location.

This is not how a multi-company appointment always appears. When several companies enter administration together on one appointment, ASIC can publish them on a single notice: that happened on 21 August, when one notice named five Global Food & Wine companies. Here there are five notices, and nothing on any of them points to the other four.

The notices do not establish that any of the five owns, or is owned by, any other. No corporate structure appears on any of them.

The notices reviewed do not establish whether any venue is trading now. The restructuring appointment means the company has appointed a restructuring practitioner. It is not a statement about the outcome, and a restructuring can end in a plan or in liquidation.

The notices reviewed do not address employee numbers, amounts owed, or what any creditor will receive.

A winding-up application asks a court for an order; it does not mean a company has been wound up. A members' voluntary liquidation is ordinarily a solvent process.

The register carried 43 winding-up applications, against 14 on 21 August and 13 on 20 August. They came from 26 distinct applicants, so this is a court listing pattern rather than a single creditor moving on many companies at once.

The Deputy Commissioner of Taxation brought 10. A workers compensation insurer brought three, and one finance company brought two.

Pro-Pac Packaging Limited, ACN 112 971 874, whose legal name is now A.C.N. 112 971 874 Limited, published a notice inviting formal proof of debt. The deed administrators are Robert Smith and Keith Crawford. Proofs are due by 2 October 2026.

The ATO's corporate-transparency data records the company with total income of $249.6 million for 2023-24, $294.4 million for 2022-23 and $421.0 million for 2021-22. Total income is the ATO's reported field. It is not revenue and not profit, and it describes those years.

The company has been under external administration since October 2025 and entered a deed of company arrangement in June 2026. The deadline is the part that is new.

The register carried 44 newly published distress entries. Companies whose legal name does not identify the business are listed first.
